At minimum I will make you feel bad for being a terrible person. |
Excellent case in point is Game of Thrones. The finale was yesterday. And by that I mean last night. Not even a full day has passed and I'm having to zoom through my newsfeed to avoid finding out the awful truth that surely was revealed. I mean, if I saw a picture or even the word "Game," I was scrolling like a madwoman. I may have even missed some legitimate, non-spoiler posts, but I'll never know because it's too risky. As it stands now, I already know someone died (not too shocking), I think someone was betrayed, and I'm pretty sure I saw the word revenge a few times. Plus, Jon Snow pictures everywhere. So maybe he died? Who knows? Not me. Or at least, I think not me.
Seriously. It's not even just friends that blow it anymore. Major media outlets and blogs are posting stuff. I get it. You want to keep the buzz. You want to report the scoop. But it doesn't need to be the headline.
Please, on behalf of so many of us out there who have other things to do and just can't be on the tv at the right time all the time - give us a chance. If not 48 hours (which I think is more than fair) than at least 24. Or just, put your spoiler behind a cut or something.
If you don't, I'll start spoiling everything I can for you. I swear it!
Braaaaiiiiinnnn Food: What big reveal or plot twist was recently spoiled for you? And was it less than 24 hours later? YOU JERKS!
